📖 Moped Drag Beginner Guide
Everything you need to know to go from zero to leaderboard in Moped Drag Roblox. Covers RM farming, upgrade priority, wheelie mechanics, and race strategy for BETA 2026.
🚀 Getting Started in Moped Drag
When you first load into Moped Drag on Roblox, you start with a basic moped and limited RM. Your first action should always be to redeem all available Moped Drag codes — these give up to 70,000 free RM and can completely change your early progression. With that RM boost, skip the cheapest bikes and aim directly for the Yamha 115ZR (RM 7,800) as your first serious moped.
The game's core loop is simple: ride fast to earn RM, spend RM on better mopeds and upgrades, ride faster to earn more RM. The key constraint is that you only earn RM above 80 KPH. Every upgrade decision should be evaluated by how much it helps you maintain higher speeds for longer.
Press E to get on your moped, then hold W to accelerate. Tap E to shift up through gears as your speed climbs. See the full Controls Guide for all key bindings.
💰 How to Farm RM Fast
RM income in Moped Drag scales directly with speed. You earn nothing below 80 KPH, and income caps at approximately 250 RM per 5 seconds at 300 KPH (350 RM for VIP players). The math is clear: faster mopeds with better upgrades generate exponentially more RM per session.
The optimal RM farming loop is: unlock a Pro-tier or Elite moped, max out Top Speed upgrades, then ride continuously on a straight track at full throttle. At 250 KPH with max upgrades, you earn roughly 200+ RM every 5 seconds — that's 2,400 RM per minute, or 144,000 RM per hour of active play.

⚡ Upgrade Priority Guide
Not all upgrades are equal. Here is the recommended upgrade order for maximizing performance in Moped Drag:
- 1st
Top Speed → Level 3 (De-restricted)
Breaks the 80 KPH income gate fast and keeps RM flowing from early sessions.
- 2nd
Horsepower → Level 6 (Drag Spec)
The most impactful single upgrade. +75% acceleration transforms race competitiveness.
- 3rd
Top Speed → Level 6 (Full Race Spec)
Unlocks 200+ KPH on most mopeds, pushing income to the high tier.
- 4th
Brake Power → Level 4+ (Race Calipers)
Essential for high-speed moped control and competitive handbrake starts.
See the full Upgrade Guide for all 3 categories × 6 upgrade levels with exact RM costs.
🤸 How to Wheelie in Moped Drag
Wheelies (front wheel lift) in Moped Drag are performed by holding the T key while accelerating. The front wheel lifts when you have sufficient speed and engine power. A Stoppie (rear wheel lift during braking) is also performed with the T key during deceleration.
Wheelie difficulty scales inversely with horsepower. At Level 1–3 Horsepower, wheelies require high speed (100+ KPH) to trigger. At Drag Spec (Level 6), wheelies can be triggered from as low as 60 KPH, making trick execution significantly easier. Sustained wheelies don't directly affect race times but are a core part of the game's style and community culture.
Pro Tip: In first-person view (V key), wheelie timing is more intuitive as you can see the handlebars rise. Switch to first-person view to practice wheelie technique more easily.
🔧 Mastering Manual Clutch Mode
Press M to toggle Manual Clutch mode. In this mode, automatic gear shifts are disabled — you control every shift manually using E+P to upshift and Q+P to downshift. This provides significantly more control over launch acceleration and is the preferred mode for competitive top-time runs.
The ideal manual clutch launch technique in Moped Drag: hold the moped at idle, then at race start simultaneously release clutch and throttle at peak RPM for maximum initial acceleration. This technique — often called a "clutch dump" — is how top leaderboard players achieve sub-second reaction times off the line.
🏆 Race Strategy & Leaderboard Tips
Winning races in Moped Drag comes down to three factors: moped stats, upgrade level, and driver execution. A well-driven mid-tier moped with max Drag Spec upgrade can beat a poorly driven Elite moped — gear timing and launch execution matter enormously.
Key competitive tips: always shift at the peak of each gear's power band (watch for the speed plateau before shifting up), use Handbrake (Shift) for staged race positioning, and keep your moped in the highest gear possible on straights to maintain top-speed RM income between races.
For leaderboard climbing, the Honde NSR250 with full upgrades is the current meta choice. Its 249cc engine and 45 HP output gives it the fastest straight-line times in the game at 253 KPH max speed.
