The Moped Drag upgrade system has three independent categories: Horsepower, Top Speed, and Brake Power. Each has 6 upgrade levels, and all upgrades are purchased with RM from the in-game Garage. Upgrades are moped-specific — upgrading one bike does not carry over to another.
The most impactful upgrade in the entire game is Horsepower Level 6 — Drag Spec. This single upgrade delivers +75% acceleration, unlocks the exhaust backfire visual effect at Level 4, and is the defining feature separating competitive players from casual riders. Always prioritize reaching Drag Spec on your current moped before purchasing a new one.

Drag Spec is the name for Horsepower Level 6 in Moped Drag — the maximum horsepower upgrade available. The term "drag spec" comes from real-world drag racing, where engines are configured specifically for maximum straight-line acceleration rather than balanced all-around performance.
In Moped Drag, a Drag Spec engine delivers +75% acceleration compared to a stock moped. This means dramatically shorter 0–100 KPH times, easier wheelie triggering, and significantly better race start launches. The upgrade also unlocks the visually striking exhaust backfire effect (activated at Level 4 — Backfire Kit), which produces flame bursts during gear changes.
